The scooter folds up for transport, and it can also be split into separate parts – half the frame at a time, with the batteries removed separately.

That means no single piece is unmanageably heavy, and the whole scooter fits into the boot of an ordinary car rather than requiring a van or a trailer.

The seat is height-adjustable and can also be removed entirely, which makes storage in an estate car straightforward.

A golf course is not a flat, paved surface. Fairways undulate, the rough is uneven and the ground is often soft after rain or watering.

The G800 runs on solid tyres with a deep tread pattern designed for grip in demanding conditions.

Solid tyres cannot puncture, which is a real advantage on a course where thorns, twigs and sharp edges are part of the landscape and where a flat tyre would end the round.

The tread pattern provides traction on wet grass and soft ground, so the scooter stays steady on slopes and damp fairways rather than sliding.

Four wheels give a stable base throughout, including when you stop on a gradient to take a shot.

Thumb Throttle With Reverse

The scooter is operated with a stepless thumb throttle on the right-hand side of the handlebars.

The stepless design allows precise speed control, which matters when positioning yourself near a ball or manoeuvring between bags and players.

A reverse setting means you can back out of a tight spot without having to turn the scooter around – useful near bunkers, trees and tee boxes.

Control requires only one hand, leaving the other free.

Automatic Braking and a 20° Parking Brake

Release the throttle and the G800 brakes automatically, coming to a controlled stop without any further action from you.

In park mode, an automatic parking brake engages and holds the scooter securely on inclines of up to 20°.

That figure matters on a golf course. You can stop on a slope, step off to play your shot and know the scooter will be exactly where you left it when you return.

Built Around Your Golf Bag

The G800 is not a general mobility scooter with an accessory bolted on. It is designed around the equipment a golfer carries.

A universal golf bag holder is included and accepts bags of different sizes and shapes.

The handlebars have dedicated holders for score cards, spare balls and pegs, so the things you reach for most often are within arm's reach rather than buried in a pocket.
